About

Assistant Professor – Research at the Center for Energy Studies at Louisiana State University (Geaux, Tigers!).

I hail from the city of Hyderabad in southern India and have made home in the United States since arriving here for my Bachelors’ degree at Clemson University (Go, Tigers!). I wanted to work on challenges concerning food, energy and water which define our current age of the Anthropocene, and trained as a Biosystems/Biological Systems Engineer so I could develop the skills needed to work in these areas. Since earning my Masters and Doctoral degrees at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Go, Badgers!), I have worked on agricultural systems including dairy manure processing and sugarcane processing.

I bring a collaborative mindset to my research, borne of the value inherent in interdisciplinary science. I’m excited about working with people who are passionate about science and collaboration, to bring our skills together in addressing our most pressing challenges.

In my spare time, you might catch me riding my bike or hiking in the Atchafalaya!
